It has a pretty chonky stock and the tip is pretty thick, what's cool about this one is that the edge is actually quite good along the flat of the blade though. Lastly, and my favorite of the bunch, my Kizer Nomad, a Dirk Pinkerton-designed trailing point folder modeled after the jabiya style of knife. The Feldspar has an especially nice action, these two are going together. It's in G10 and 14C28N, the small Feldspar is G10 and D2. The Platypus is a chunky weird thing, I haven't used it much but it seems like a fantastic knife to leave in a garage for boxes and other chores. The grind is beautiful and it's very light.Ī pair of nice budget users, a QSP Platypus and a CJRB Feldspar small. It also has a tendency to smack the standoffs if closed too enthusiastically. It especially did not appreciate the week I tried to use it as a fifth pocket carry in a steel factory, so I would say keep this one in cleaner environments to avoid gunking up the internal stop pin channel. The action is good but it is a small knife and they can be finicky.

It's got a lot of lightening milling inside the titanium scale and it's nicely contoured, plus the carbon fiber is lovely. TwoSun TS something M390+CF framelock, this is a little tiny thing but really neat. It has a little bit of vertical wiggle, no lateral blade play.
It's got a sort of hex wrench and wave/bottle opener cut into the blade, and all around it is a very well-mannered large knife. Rike M3, this one is a long and lean framelock with a nearly solid G10 show scale (it has a steel insert to support the pivot) and a bronze anodized titanium lock scale and backspacer and an ~4" blade of mirror polished 154CM.
It's got a replacement pivot and three pocket clips along with screws.Ĭ+ for separated pocket clips and light use.
It also comes with a complete set of replacement hardware. This screams for a custom carbon fiber or G10 backspacer, but as-is it has a nice hefty smooth feeling to it.
